I walk around my house
Concrete symbol of my soul
Containing all the brightness of my loves
The recesses, where I hide my hates
Entwined like vines
Adorning
I squeeze their fruit,
Transform their wine
Into my blood
Which makes my heart
Thump
Drunk
I seek sobriety
There is no other house
Like mine
(I haven't been around too much lately. Enduring a poem drought.
But, I tend to write most when I'm happiest. Am quite happy now that my husband has been declared free of cancer and is feeling much, much better.)

If this comes from the time out--it was worth waiting for! Inner/outer environment reflect each other, and you give soul flesh as well! Congratulations on your husband's becoming Cancer free. I'm accompanying a friend in her cancer journey, and am beginning to understand the immersion necessary.
