I walk
amidst desert blooming,
boasting
array of colors,
anemic to vibrant,
confusing aesthetics,
balancing nature's wit,
something from nothing.
Sand, rocks,
flowing arid streams,
attempting.
Recalling dreams
of lush, moist
fertile dirt
from ages past
pushing behind
blank canvas
creating floral bursts,
lavish verdure.
I envy
bleached dry beauty
abhored,
struggle unrecognized
shaded beauty
devalued,
hidden creation,
revealing life
from nothing.
