Infinite stillness
calmly you sit
aloof
watching
uncaring
my love
ignoring.
ignoring.
My yearning gaze
gently devours
your beauty
yet cannot
your secrets
absorb
your knowledge
acquire
your wisdom
take.
Autonomous, free
blatant envy
you inspire
impossible
possession
feigning
pretending
I dare
to call you...
mine.
Front courtyard view of my mountains.

Submitted to Friday 55. The challenge - to write something in 55 words or less.
It sounds like a lover but with the mountain it could be the aloof yet beckoning aspect of nature.
ReplyDeleteNice poetry and in 55!
