Not just to pass the time
but to clear my mind
I doodle.
Not exactly a meditation
still, it's not medication.
It helps me to accept
daily toil and tribulation.
Surely would be nice
if I could synchronize
my mental noodles
with my doodles.

For Christmas I was given this drawing/painting program (Corel Painter - I think). It's fun and apparently drawing can stimulate creativity.
Scribble, doodle, frolic, play - hope you're doing something that makes you happy.
it is fun...i recently got back into sketching and painting and it is therapeutic and gets the creative juices going...
ReplyDeleteLove it, Myrna!

Ah the child within you is calling to come alive.
ReplyDeleteMyrna, some people doodle but their work is a lovely form of art! Many gifted cartoonists start of by doodling.
ReplyDeleteI don't much doodle but I do scribble.
Joy always,
Susan
I used to draw a lot when I was a teenager.;) Constantly, no matter where I was, there was always a paper and a pen at hand.;)
ReplyDeleteYour drawing is cute.;))
xoxo
i always walk when i have to clear my mind..used to do a bit of watercolor painting when the kids were small but lost sight of it somewhere on the way..
ReplyDeleteM'am I think you are synchronized....too cute. When my daughter was like 2 she said nerdle instead of noodle, so cute.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun program! That's a great illustration, and I enjoyed your words.
ReplyDeletelove it ~ have to let the inner child come out, such a great release & generally insightful too! wonderful post, hope you are doing well:)
ReplyDeleteI don't know Myrna....its is quite arguably a meditative practice....I'm happy it brings you respite:)
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool Myrna! I really like the doodle too!
ReplyDeletegood for you!! I looks very Santa Fe-ish ;) I can't doodle.. at all... for me the anti-stress therapy is music - singing and dancing.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderfully fun and creative, the drawing and poem.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fan of doodling. Love your writing, too.
ReplyDeletewhat a great way to unwind... my daughter mentioned yesterday that she bought crayons just for that reason...
