EYES

I kiss Leroy's head
Then my heart swims in the profundity of his eyes
Where I can find whatever I'm seeking
Soul nutrients
Comfort, hope, peace even love
I like animal eyes
They contain the cosmos

People's eyes are similar
A reflection
Where neutral truth cannot hide
Even love, even hate
So stare into yours
Dare to discover

  1. The eyes tell us so much often more than the lips can profess. I think it was Sherry earlier thus week that wrote about the compassion of animals as well. It seems so much easier for them.

I havebeen meaning to write you. Your gift did so much when i was in Nepal this year. The monsoons flooded the school under 4 feet of water...so we are in the process of putting a wall up that will help in coming years.

    Much love my friend.

  2. We are both thinking of fond animals today and yes their eyes hold so much love and truth....

    'People's eyes are similar

It is indeed all in the eyes.

  5. I loved reading this, there's nothing quite like looking into a loved pet's eyes.

  6. I think eyes are wonderful to watch... but maybe partly it's the best way to see ourselves in its reflection. Maybe we cannot truly see ourselves in any other way.

  8. Oh, I like to look into animal eyes as well. They are so intense. It seems when I look into one of my dog's eyes that they are trying to figure out what I am thinking as much as I am trying to figure out what they are thinking!

  10. I think a pet dog's eyes mainly convey trust in you being master/mistress as well as friend and companion; as well as trusted meal provider; as well as a comfy bed, but they would still prefer to share yours too, bed as well as food!
