(Romantic couple outside Fisherman's Wharf in California)

THE HONEYMOON

Condition perfect, they dance.
He begins romantic foreplay.
She follows docilely for now.

Music – sweet molasses dripping
on contract they signed in a trance.

Their passion, like sticky glue,
shuts their eyes,
attaches their hearts
and at least during this song
they see unconditional love,
not the huge invisible question mark

waiting.

  4. Myrna,

A most beautiful moment captured so well in the image and your very fitting words....Of course as they say, 'sometimes the course of real love can run dry....'.
I suppose it is the reality of life which will mingle with those young lovers, eventually:)
    Best Wishes,
    Eileen
BTW: Fisherman's Wharf is a lovely location. I have been there many times, including in March of this year with my husband:)

  14. Many romantic fantasies have happened outside Fishermen's Wharf--mine these days involve the Ghiradelli store more than the waltz. ;_) Loved the journey in 55 words to one of my favorite places.

  23. That's why Jose and I don't dance ;) Haha - sorry couldn't resist that, Myrna. Romantic love is beautiful - the hard part is later, right? I'm not a cynic, but just saying...
