"Where are you going?"

"I'm going home now It's late."

Long pause.

"That's okay. They're coming to pick me up soon. I'm not going to stay in this place for too long," she said, before she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

My mother has been placed in "comfort care". That's the nursing home's designation for hospice care. She's been very ill, and I've been spending most of my time with her.

Friends, I've thought of you often. Miss you. I don't know when I'll be able to visit your wonderful blogs once again. For now, I'm prioritizing my time, and I've chosen to give my mother my fullest attention.

Stay well. Be healthy, be happy and write.
