Clouds

Nebulous future
floating, moving
time and space
imagination's eyes
creating shapes
clouds the sun
may break
or chose
to become rain
precipitating hope

******************************
In the past my calendar would have reflected the busyness and excitement of life that awaited me. My life flowed in response to work and social appointments that deluded me into thinking they were inherent to my identity. I know who I am a little better now. My "prestigious" roles (profession) and activities have been stripped away and I have discovered more of my core self.

Life has taken a turn I never could have conceived - me staying at home, caring for two old ladies. But there are so many things in my life I never dreamed of - most of them I perceived as good. So today, though my future is nebulous, I dream of the shape it could take. Perhaps life still hides some spectacular surprises for me. Most of all though, what I am learning is about my responsibility to live fully and squeeze the rain out from those clouds.

I hope life has wondrous surprises for you too and that you squeeze those clouds.
