Tiny Little Globe

I fell up
through a hole in the sky,
tumbling.
Landing amidst creatures so strange
perplexing.
A tiny little globe perceiving
colors astounding.
Textures, structures, fabrics
brilliantly mixing,
deceiving.
Tiny minds
yearning.

On unknowing clouds
I floated, innocently
watching
particles melding.
Separation turned One,
opposites annihilating.
From such intricate fantasy
awakening, I knew
reality's dream
stumbling, falling
on the little globe.

  4. Myrna,

I often wonder what it would be like without gravity, to fall up and then enter another atmosphere. I can only imagine the metaphores hidden in your words. I enjoyed your poem very much.

  7. Loved how you started it on a positive note/word 'up' instead of 'down'

  8. Ah, that was a nice trail of imagination. I wonder how it will be to fall "up" instead of 'down.' Your verse had cancelled the laws of gravity and now, that is what I call creative licence!

    Joy and peace,
    Susan

  10. Beautiful poem Myrna...and not sad...Yay! I can imagine the tiny flakes inside a "snow globe"...or the Who's down in Whoville...somehow in reading this...there is a playfulness, at least for me.
